Troop 162

Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church
Hampton, Georgia

District Camporee "Mission Impossible"

16 & 17 April, 2005

Once we got there we set up and cooked dinner. After dinner everyone went to the field to begin the night hike. Laser Gauntlet was where you were blind and you had to flash other people in the grass with your flashlight. Blind Escape was where you had to carry a patrol member. You were blind but the person being carried wasn't so he would navigate you. Stealth Hike was tricky, you had to avoid bear traps and trip cords. Espionage Adventure was an orienteering event, you followed the clues to find the right jug with ring pops in it. In Star Trek you watched the stars and answered questions. Jaws of Death was one big cracker barrel. In Solo Encounter you reflected on what you did and learned about scout spirit. Secret Stranger was difficult. Two people tried to convince you that they were the good guy. In Enemy Encampment you listened to what they were doing and then had to report it. In Agent Rescue you had to find a pilot and tell him how to treat his wounds. Finally in Mystery Mission you had to find the secret code. The next morning we woke up, packed up, and headed home.
